70 Favorite Actors: 43. James McAvoy

favorite role: SPOILER ALERT! Sorry, just couldn’t resist posting this as I’m still not over the kilig.

The first time I became aware of him, it was in Narnia and he had this weird chemistry with Lucy Pevensie that was, well, almost creepy. After a few films, I’ve realized that maybe sexy just comes naturally to James McAvoy and that, thankfully, he’s been directing that sexy to adults ever since (Christina Ricci, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley respectively…and Angelina Jolie in his next film Wanted.) It still bothers me that I don’t remember him at all being in Wimbledon. But, ah, maybe I was just distracted by Paul Bettany.

    I’m too old for this, but it’s been a long time since a young lad swept me off my feet like McAvoy. If you have the chance, check out the BBC series “Shameless” (first 2 seasons). He’s great in it, but the whole series is amazing anyway…. :)
