There’s something very awkward and yet very beautiful about Charlotte. Every time I see her on screen, it’s like a breath of fresh air. I just love watching her. I also love the way she speaks, especially when she’s speaking French.
By the way, I switched the Toby Stephens clip so that you can compare the treatment of that scene in both versions…if you want to, that is. And though I fell in love with Charlotte Gainsbourg in the 1996 Jane Eyre movie, I think I infinitely prefer the 2006 adaptation.
